I'm not a knathlete

I feel urged to post something about me not participating in the Knitting Olympics... it's because...well, I just don't care much about it. I can see that it's a cute idea, it connects knitters in the world, etc. and I hope you're all enjoying this knitting event, but it's not for me. Maybe because I don't care about the actual Olympics either, or sports in general. Or I don't want to sign up for something that'll put further pressure on me. I've got so many other non-knitting related deadlines to meet already!

Anyway, here's a button for all you non-joiners, I know you're out there!

I love the button! great idea. Knitting Fever has taken over. it is a bit crazy... (tell you the truth, I don't even know when the Olympics start... )

Okay, here's some thoughts about why I knit: http://numenna.blogspot.com/2006/01/some-thoughts-about-why-i-knit.html

I actually picked up the needles for the first time in my life on Dec 10th 2005.

BTW, did you deleted your comment from this morning on my blog? Because I got it in the email, but it's not appearing on Blogger....unless Blogger has eaten it...

It seems that blogger doesn't like you, because your last comment, which I received in the email is also not showing on my blog...but the others are.

For when I really picked up the needles for the first time...told ya that two comments ago: 10th December 2005

Sorry about the ultra extreme short attention span there... read it this morning with my daughter on my lap trying to 'type';-)
SO you've been knitting for less than TWO MONTHS!?!?!? Incredible! Well, I'd say you're a natural at knitting! Just imagine what your works are going to be like a couple of years from now... I see a great knitter's future ahead:-)

And how mean is blogger!?

That's what I've been waiting for! Even thought about making my own button but then.. I will gladly use your's, lean back and observe the thousands of Knitathlets going crazy. Hehe..

You've got more guts than the AntiCraft's Team Angstylvania (they'd have to care to finish). Good for you! I caved to the fever and I do feel like a lemming, but I know I'll be watching the Olympic coverage and knitting anyway. Knit on.

I am NOT an member of the Knitting Olympic thing but as a non-joiner I can't even join the non-joiners :-) Rest assured I won't be knitting with you (or I will be knitting, just not with any rules) I hope that makes sense :-)

I snagged your button, and I'm proudly displaying it on my blog! I feel the same way -- I hope everyone who's participating is having fun, but I'll just watch from the sidelines. I'm up for knitting challenges -- just not under a deadline.
