Please melt now.

medium_100_2162.jpgI'd ordered some Clarks mary janes a couple of days ago and they're already here:-) OKay, these Jaywalkers don't go so great with brown, I think, but imagine some of the Regia Canadian Colors with it, that should look nice.

*NOTE TO HEDI* Und Hedwig, die Schuhe würden Dir auch gefallen, oder? Ich musste gleich an Dich denken:-)

medium_100_2157.jpgNot like I could wear these shoes any time in the near future, though... As you can see in this progress pic, there's still snow on the ground and most the sideways are  still covered with compressed snow and ice.

Last night I finished the Mata Haris for Sockapalooza, no pictures yet though, I gotta run them through the washer. I'm quite happy with how they turned out and I hope they're going to look good on my recipient's feet, but I'm still very nervous about her reactions- will they be 'funky' enough? Will the pattern show well enough to prove it's not just any old plain stockinette?

One thing amazed me, too, was that I still have sooo much yarn left! I could easily knit a third sock of it! That was one economical ball of yarn!

Love the shoes! The Pretty Petals socks are looking nice and springy, even though it seems that winter is content to stay.

Julia-chan! Die Schuhe sind echt niedlich! Dazu ein Röckchen und ein Zuckerkeks und wir machen einen Spaziergang durch den Wald, zum Großmütterchen! Hach, da krieg ich gleich Lust, auch Schuhe zu kaufen...

I'm sure your SockapalOOOza pal will love the socks, but I understand the worry. (I, too, have fears that you won't like yours.) But enough about that...

Those mary janes are great, and I think the socks go just wonderfully. You want to show off the socks, not have them blend in too much. Ooh - and I'm lovin' the Spring Petals socks that you're working on. I'll try to send some warmer weather your way - we've got enough here! ;)

Oh, the Jaywalker works quite fine with the shoes, if you like to look like a dork. *LOL*

BTW, I'm trusting you on this and just frogged my 1 inch of 94 stitches ribbing to cast on (for the third time) with 84 stitches! It better work!

Beautiful socks!!! AND beautiful shoes. I know what you mean about trying to find 42s in women's shoes in Europe. When I was in Italy, the ladies in the shops would stare at me, stare at my feet, and then laugh derisively. No italian shoes for me!!! I really adore those Trekking socks. What a lovely pattern that is in the perfect colors!

I love the shoes and those socks! Is that the Trecking yarn in the second picture? The same one as mine? If so, I'm glad because I just love how it's knitting up! What pattern are you using? Gorgeous.
